This was a great short story by Trisha Ashley, one of the authors I am always on the lookout for. It was a sweet story with ties about Bronte and Jane Erye. If you need a quick escape this is sure to be your solution :)
Book Jacket Summary:
Budding author and die-hard Bronte fan Eleri Groves decides to escape from her disastrous love life to a remote farm cottage in Yorkshire.
Living in the land of the Brontes has got to be better than her life at home and she hopes that she’ll find some inspiration for her next book.
But what she doesn’t expect is to find her own Mr Rochester and much more than she bargained for …
I read constantly and have a huge collection. This is my way of keeping track of what I have read. It is also a way to reach out and open up discussion on what others thought of the same book. I tend to have trouble finding new authors or hearing about good reads, so would always love your input or suggestions.

The Time of Our Lives by Jane Costello
**** 4 stars
I truly enjoy many of the books I have read by Costello and this was no different. I loved the characters and although so much was thrown at the main character, Imogen, you can't help but want to see everything unravel. I also liked the supporting characters, and found myself really liking Meredith and her out spoken ways. I think this is one of my favorite by this author. I can't wait til her next release.
Book Jacket Summary:
Three best friends. One five-star hotel. Will it be the holiday of a lifetime . . .?
Imogen and her friends Meredith and Nicola have had their fill of budget holidays, cattle-class flights and 6 a.m. offensives for a space by the pool.
So when Meredith wins a VIP holiday at Barcelona's hippest new hotel, they plan to sip champagne with the jet set, party with the glitterati and switch off in unapologetic luxury.
But when the worst crisis of her working life erupts back home, Imogen has to juggle her BlackBerry with a Manhattan, while soothing a hysterical boss and hunting down an AWOL assistant.
Between a robbery, a run-in with hotel security staff and an encounter on a nudist beach that they'd all rather forget, the friends stumble from one disaster to the next. At least Imogen has a distraction in the form of the gorgeous guy who's always in the right place at the very worst time. Until, that is, his motives start to arouse a few suspicions . . .

The Wedding Countdown by Ruth Saberton
**** 4 stars
I really liked this book. When I read the description I thought it sounded like something new, so I gave it a shot. I noticed that Saberton had help from Sofia Latif, I am already a fan of Saberton;s so it was nice to see something different. I truly loved the characters and the whole story. I am not as familiar with the Pakistan heritage and lifestyle and felt I came away with a bit of an understanding. No matter the ethnicity the dating story is the same, expectations and all. I would definitely pass this onto a friend and hope if you are reading this, that you pick it up, as it's a great read. Can't wait for another Ruth Saberton book.
Book Jacket Summary:
Parents may think they know best, but sometimes daughters know better…
Mills Ali has her dream job writing for a magazine and a social life busier than the London rush hour. Everything's good except for the husband sized shadow looming on the horizon. With a year’s countdown to her arranged marriage, Mills is on a mission to choose her own husband. Just how hard can it be? She's bound to find her soul mate.
But is he closer than she thinks? Or do her parents know best after all?

Never Google Heartbreak by Emma Garcia
**** 4 stars
Really liked this book. I haven't read anything by Garcia but the description was so interesting I decided I wanted to give it a try. It was funny, and not always in the laugh out loud form. There were times where I found myself cringing and trying to hide along with Viv. I really enjoyed liked the secondary friends but would have liked to see a bit more of their story. Look forward to seeing what else this author has out to read. :)
Book Jacket Summary:
When her fiancĂ Rob breaks off their engagement for the third time, Viv does what any girl would do - she Googles heartbreak. Confronted by tales of misery, she decides to set-up her own self-help website for the broken-hearted. But as Viv passes through the three essential stages of grief (denial, vodka, disastrous haircut), she becomes determined that it's not too late to try and get Rob back. When things get out of hand after a drunken declaration of love at an extremely inappropriate moment, Viv's scruffy, tequila-swilling best friend Max is there to pick up the pieces. Viv starts to realise that maybe the real thing has been under her nose all this time, and now - one ex and a massive error of judgement later - she has to face the question: What's the craziest thing you'll do for love? Readers of Lindsey Kelk, Sophie Kinsella and Paige Toon won't be able to put this down. Never has heartbreak been so hilarious...
